About 4.5 acres of land in Edgerton…abandoned for 20 years…is on its way to finding a new use. The Village of Edgerton took possession of 2.9 acres of the property previously owned by Edgerton Metals, while Edgerton Development Corp. received 1.5. The transfer comes as part of a deal…with the two public entities getting nearly $5 million dollars in brownfield grant money to clean up the property and develop it. Officials add…there has been talk of a possible riverwalk being added since the property is near the river, as well as a possible amphitheater on a hilly portion of the land.
