Unemployment rates throughout the region decreased from February to March, according to the Ohio Department Of Job and Family Services. All but two northwest Ohio counties had an unemployment rate below the statewide, not seasonally adjusted rate, of 5.3 percent. The national rate, not seasonally adjusted is 4.6 percent. Local rates for Marchare: Defiance County, 5.1 percent; Henry County 6.3 percent, Paulding County, 4.3 percent, Putnam County, 3.7 percent; Williams County, 4.6 percent; and Fulton County 5.4 percent.
