This year’s Williams County Fair will host a new event on Sunday night, Sept. 10: lawnmower racing by the American Racing Mower Association, Inc. (ARMA). In lawnmower racing, competitors race modified, self-propelled riding lawnmowers with the blades removed for safety. ARMA races will take place on the fairgrounds horse track right after the dirt drags. The lawnmower races will take place on the modified dirt drag track on the infield, but a featured race – with speeds up to 100 mph – will run on the main oval horse track, said Ric Henricks, fair board member and racing committee chairman.
