At the ballot box…the Bryan City Schools substitute levy has passed. BCS was seeking approval of a 6.9-mill proposal…first initiated in 2002. It has been passed by voters, every five years, since then. Approval creates an ongoing annual, automatic renewal of the current levy, which generates $1.9 million dollars, annually, for the schools. The early count shows…the levy passed by a 37-vote margin, 1,086 to 1,049.
