BMU Cost Ticks Up

The cost of Bryan Municipal Utilities’ ongoing electric system upgrade project has increased. The city Board of Public Affairs approved a change order…increasing the cost of the project by about $37,000. It will upgrade the city’s mid 1970’s system. Officials say the $1 million dollar project will improve service and reliability for BMU customers. Word is, the upgrades will be completed, later this month.
