Two provisional ballots…opened on Tuesday…seal the fate of North Central Local Schools’ proposed tax levy, which fails by only two votes. We reported the five-year, 3.8-mill levy was meant to raise $420,000 dollars, annually…to prevent the district from operating at a deficit. That’s according to district officials. It’s the third time since last year the district has put an operating levy on the ballot…they all have failed. Because the election was so close, an automatic recount needs to be done. That’s getting arranged, now.
