Officials with Pioneer Police says their police chief was crushed between two vehicles while assisting at the scene of a fire in Montpelier. He wasn’t seriously hurt. Apparently, he was standing by the back quarter panel of his cruiser, when a utility truck cut the corner too close. The blaze destroyed a home and garage on W. Lawrence St.
