Local Filing Deadline Passes

Wednesday’s election filing deadline to qualify for the May 8 primary produced a short list of candidates and issues throughout the Defiance area’s six counties. Commissioner, Ryan Mack and Auditor, Jill Little will each seek a second four-year term. Democrats did not field a candidate in either race. In Henry County, three candidates and two issues were filed with the board of elections.
