Local Police Help with Multi-County Vehicle Chase

Bryan police and Williams County deputies joined in on a vehi­cle chase Fri­day at the request of the Defi­ance County Sheriff’s Office. Defi­ance deputies were pur­su­ing a car on High­way 127 when it entered Williams County, prompt­ing the request. After trav­el­ing through Bryan, the vehi­cle veered off into a field, and the dri­ver, 30-year-old Ryan McFar­land of Edger­ton, fled on foot. A K-9 unit was dis­patched and located McFar­land in some nearby woods. He is being held in the Cor­rec­tion Cen­ter of North­west Ohio on charges of felony fleeing-and-eluding with addi­tional charges pending.
