Marilyn Horner, 81

Marilyn Lee Horner, age 81, of Wauseon, passed away Tuesday morning, March 17, 2015, in her home. Prior to her retirement she had worked as a Common Pleas Court Reporter at Fulton and Williams Counties, for 40 years.

Marilyn was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 3, 1933, the daughter of Charles U. and Isabelle (Gorsuch) Richards. On April 26, 1951 she married Richard Dean Horner, and he survives.

Marilyn was an avid animal lover and loved bowling. She was also a sports fanatic, especially for the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, of Wauseon; daughter, Betty (Steve) Cramer of Wauseon; granddaughter, Melissa (Steve) Chase of Adrian, MI; and two great-grandchildren, Marcus Asbury and Collin Chase. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society or the charity of the donor’s choice. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
