MD and Me: Walk-n-Learn program begins tomorrow

A new health series begins tomorrow called MD & Me: Walk-n-Learn with a doctor from Parkview Physicians Group. The first of five monthly opportunities to listen to a physician presentation on a health-related topic and then join the physician on a walk at Garver Park, located behind Bryan High School at the Rotary Pavilion. The turnout has been great in their Fort Wayne location.
Cardiologist Dr. Mark O’Shaughnessy is founder of the Parkview Physicians Group-Cardiology program.
“Our program offers a unique opportunity for community members to connect with physicians while learning how to make healthier lifestyle choices.”
During the walk, community members are invited to ask questions specific to the topic from the presentation. Free blood pressure screenings and education materials were also provided.

• Tuesday, May 24: “Foot & Heel Pain” with Dr. Carolyn Sharrock-Dorsten.
• Tuesday, June 28: “Summer Safety & Skin Care” with Dr. Luvenia Tantoco.
• Tuesday, July 26: “Facts About Osteoporosis” with Dr. Steven Bumb.
• Tuesday, August 23: “Adult Preventative Care & Screenings” with Dr. Peggy Watson.
• Tuesday, September 27: “Preventative Care for Diabetic Patients” with Dr. Lindsay Bradbee.
