A man is sentenced in a Defiance County courtroom for kidnapping, assault, and third- domestic violence. Joshua Meeks, gets 17-22 years in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. He was given credit for 154 days previously served. The charges stem from an August 2019 incident at Meeks’ home on Riverside Avenue in Defiance. Prosecutors say he caused serious physical harm to a household or family member. Meeks was indicted by a Defiance County grand jury in August 2019. He initially faced additional charges of attempted murder and rape.
