Missing Sex Offender Located And Arrested

A man who was being sought by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Depart­ment for not reg­is­ter­ing as a sex offender has been cap­tured in Sawyer County, Wis­con­sin. 62-year-old Bruce Sev­er­ance was arrested there by the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Mar­shals Ser­vice. Sev­er­ance was arrested for a vio­la­tion of Wisconsin’s Sex Offender Reg­istry law and booked into the Sawyer County Jail. He is also wanted by Steuben County offi­cials for fail­ure to reg­is­ter as a sex or vio­lent offender in that county as well.
Sev­er­ance remains in the Sawyer County Jail, as he awaits extra­di­tion back to Steuben County
