Money For Parks

The Bryan Area Foundation awards $10,000 to the Kiwanis Club to buy new musical playground equipment for Roseland Park. Club Treasurer, Mike Lewis says the grant will be used to purchase the equipment from Freenotes Harmony Park, a Colorado-based company that makes specialty outdoor musical instruments. Playground equipment from the same company was purchased by the Bryan Kiwanis and installed by Bryan Parks and Recreation in the East End Park playground in October. Lewis adds the club has a goal of raising at least $35,000 toward playground equipment for other parks in Bryan.
