Money, Gun Still Missing from Auburn PD Evidence Room

A wad of cash along with a gun and ammu­ni­tion remains miss­ing from the evi­dence room of the Auburn Police Depart­ment. Over $2,000, a shot­gun, the ammo, and some knives were first noticed miss­ing back in Jan­u­ary when some­one went to retrieve the money as evi­dence in a case. Police offi­cials think the weaponry was destroyed and sim­ply not doc­u­mented cor­rectly, but they believe the money was stolen. New secu­rity mea­sures have been put in place, and no charges or arrests are pend­ing so far.
