Officers from numerous area law enforcement agencies, as well as an Ohio State Highway Patrol helicopter from Columbus, were on the scene near Holiday City Tuesday evening searching for the driver of a stolen vehicle. According to the Williams County Sheriff’s Office, at 8 p.m. deputies were on patrol looking for a stolen 2000 black Ford Focus from Montpelier. The vehicle was located on Williams County roads 15 and N-30 and deputies attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver allegedly exited the vehicle on County Road 15 and fled on foot into a cornfield near Holiday City. The driver being pursued was described as a 5-feet, 10-inch caucasian male weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing running shoes, blue jeans, a ball cap and a grey jacket with navy blue sleeves.
