NAPOLEON TO CONSIDER TAX LEVY

On Tuesday, Napoleon Area School District voters will have the chance to decide on a 0.5 percent earned income tax levy which, if enacted, would generate just over $1.15 million in new funds annually for operations beginning in 2014.

Excluded from the tax would be interest, dividends, capital gains, unemployment, Social Security and pensions. Napoleon is currently the only school district in Henry County without an income tax.
