New Charges For Towns

Two new misdemeanor charges are filed against Williams County sheriff, Steve Towns…who pled not guilty to them during a hearing. Towns appeared in Bryan Municipal Court with his counsel, accused of improperly disclosing confidential information. Towns was granted a personal-recognizance bond on the new charges. Towns is accused of posting hundreds of pages of information to the Williams County Sheriff’s website and Facebook page. Included in that release were at least two confidential reports of suspected child abuse made by medical professionals.
