New Digs For Seniors In Talks

A new place to live for seniors in Bryan is in discussion. A 48-unit senior independent living facility has been proposed for the property at South Portland and Cardinal streets. Forty one-bedroom units would be 720 square feet each, while eight two-bedroom units would be 910. The facility, intended for those aged 55 and older, would feature full kitchens with energy efficient appliances, central heating, ventilation and air conditioning, hard-surface flooring and on-site amenities such as a community room, green space, gazebo and fitness center.
