NEW POLICE CAR FOR MONTPELIER

Mont­pe­lier Vil­lage Coun­cil on Mon­day voted to approve the pur­chase of a new police vehi­cle.

A new Ford Inter­cep­tor SUV will be pur­chased through the Ohio Depart­ment of Admin­is­tra­tive Ser­vices.

Coun­cil agreed, accord­ing to the Bryan Times, that the cost of the vehi­cle be capped at $31,000.

Mont­pe­lier Coun­cil also approved wage increases for vol­un­teer fire­fight­ers at a 25-cent-per-hour increase for fires and a 50-cent-per-hour increase for meet­ing attendance.
