New Year New Bills

It’s the start of this year’s legislative session…and hundreds of bills are already filed in the Indiana Statehouse. Republican state Sen. Jean Leising filed a bill that would bar public K-12 schools from starting the school year before the last Monday in August, starting in 2020. She tells reporters it’s having a negative economic impact on the state. She also filed a bill that would say your pharmacist would have to clearly label opioid prescriptions.
