The Patrick Henry Local Board of Edu­ca­tion accepted the res­ig­na­tion of high school foot­ball coach Bill Insel­mann dur­ing its reg­u­lar monthly meet­ing Mon­day. Insel­mann has served as the var­sity foot­ball coach at Patrick Henry for 23 years.

The board also accepted the res­ig­na­tion of bus mechanic Mark Wil­helm who is retir­ing effec­tive Feb. 28 after 30 years with the school dis­trict.

In other action at Mon­day evening’s meet­ing, the board approved the hir­ing of pay­roll spe­cial­ist Pat Barnes. Barnes will begin her new posi­tion on Dec. 1.
