Nexux Pipeline Surveyors Barred from Summit Co. Properties

A pro­posed nat­ural gas pipeline is being held up by Sum­mit County res­i­dents who refused to allow sur­vey­ors onto their land. The three-foot, $2 bil­lion Nexus Pipeline would run 250 miles from Columbiana County to Defi­ance before turn­ing north toward Michi­gan and con­nect­ing with another pipeline in Ontario. The company’s request for restrain­ing orders against oppos­ing prop­erty own­ers in Wayne County is set for a hear­ing today.
