Sophomore, Ian Hoffman’s research into public perceptions of the Lake Erie algae blooms earns him fourth place in the nation during the National FFA Agriscience Fair in Indianapolis. Hoffman, a Hilltop High School sophomore, had won first place in the national Agriscience fair last year with a project on earthworms and was hoping for a repeat of that success. He got help from Anne Marie Michaels, the outreach and education coordinator for the Williams Soil and Water Conservation District.
