NO INTERCHANGE FOR WEST UNITY

West Unity appar­ently will not be get­ting an on/off ramp to the Ohio Turn­pike.

At Thursday’s vil­lage coun­cil meet­ing, a rejec­tion let­ter from the Ohio Turn­pike Com­mis­sion was read in which the com­mis­sion responded to a requested inter­change.

The Bryan Times reports that an engi­neer indi­cated that the dis­tance between entrance ramps and the nearby ser­vice plazas would be insuf­fi­cient and there­fore, a safety issue.
