Noffsinger Trial Scheduled To Begin In April

The trial of a Defiance man in connection to the death more than thirty years ago, of an Oakwood woman has been scheduled.

58 year old Steven Noffsinger, of Defiance, will go on trial the week of April 27 in Paulding County Court. Noffsinger is charged with aggravated murder in the death of his ex-wife, 29 year old Alma Noffsinger, whose body was found at her Oakwood home in December 1981.

If convicted of the aggravated murder charge, Noffsinger could face life in prison with eligibility for parole only after serving 20 years behind bars.

Alma Noffsinger’s murder case received national attention after it was featured on TNT’s “Cold Justice” last August.
