Nuisance Code On Hold For Now

The Defiance City Council gives a first reading to an ordinance, adopting its new nuisance code, but then decide to let lie the legislation. The city contracted last year with Perrysburg attorney, Jeff Stopar to rewrite the nuisance code at a cost of $10,000. It addresses such things as buildings, accumulated rubbish, noxious weeds, loud or unusual noise, junk cars and unmaintained swimming pools.
