During a recent meeting, the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center Governing Board was given various updates on state-level legislation. The updates came from Brian Baker, the legislative liaison. He cited statements made by Governor Mike DeWine during his state of the state speech urging the legislature to move forward with House Bill 304, which includes provisions that would extend daily recess time for students in kindergarten through eighth grade from thirty to sixty minutes, with the exception of days when physical education is scheduled.
