Officer Pulls The Trigger In Auburn

Indiana State Police is investigating a shooting in Auburn…involving an Auburn PD officer and a motorcycle driver. Officials say the officer stopped the motorcycle for a traffic violation. As the officer approaches the motorcycle, the rider produces what appears to be a handgun and points it at the officer. The officer fired at least one round from his gun, striking the driver. Neither the officer or a female passenger on the motorcycle were injured. The motorcycle driver was taken to an area hospital. The extent of his injuries and his identity have not yet been released.
