An arrest is made in connection with a Dec. 30 break in at a Defiance County office complex. Officials say it had been ransacked and several items were stolen. During the investigation, deputies recovered evidence. Then, a break in the case. Zachary Merrill, 32, Berrien Springs, is arrested on local charges and also being held on warrants from Berrien Springs. The case file will be sent to the Defiance County prosecutor’s office.
