Ohio budget update – DeWine signs bill into law

The recently agreed upon state budget sent to Gov. Mike DeWine has several provisions favorable to Ohio’s counties, including Williams. According to a release issued by the County Commissioners Association of Ohio, the budget is mostly favorable to issues important to the association. DeWine signed the bill into law Tuesday morning. The proposed budget sets the indigent defense fund at $190 million dollars in 2024 and at $195.8 million in FY 2025. The two-year total is an increase of $67 million provided over the current two-year budget.
