Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Lima post is investigating a school bus injury crash

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Lima post is investigating a school bus injury crash that occurred at approximately 7:10 a.m. Tuesday in the village of Cloverdale. A bus from the Ottoville Local School District, driven by 62 year old Ronald Miller of Ottoville, was northbound on Main Street, went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. There were two children on board at the time of the crash. Miller was transported by Ottoville EMS to St. Rita’s Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Ottawa, for minor injuries and later released. The two children were uninjured and taken from the scene by their parents. The driver’s safety belt was in use at the time of the crash and helped to minimize injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.The bus sustained heavy damage.
