Ohio’s statewide daytime burn ban will remain in force.

Through May 31st, Ohio’s statewide daytime burn ban will remain in force. Opening burning is forbidden statewide between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the months of March, April, May, October, and November. Yard waste, trash, and rubble are all prohibited, even when a proper burn barrel is being used. Although regulators advise utilizing a proper burn barrel, burning is still permitted during legal hours. The risk of a fire is increased in the fall and spring by warm, windy weather.
