OSP joins neighboring patrols to beef up OVI enforcement

If you’re planning to be on the highways this weekend, The Ohio State Patrol will be focusing on drunk drivers and other impaired drivers. OSP is joining other members of the 6-State Trooper Project and will tighten enforcement from this Friday at midnight through Sunday night at midnight. They tell us it’ll be a high-visibility effort including neighboring patrols from Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. So far, Ohio State troopers have made over 22,000 arrests for OVI.
