More people died this year during the 4th of July holiday weekend in traffic crashes reported to The Ohio State Highway Patrol. They say 12 people died in 11 traffic crashes between Friday the first and Monday the fourth. The patrol says impairment was proven to be a factor in four of the 11 crashes. Troopers arrested fewer drivers for impairment than last year, and 325 people were taken into custody for drug-related charges. In all, the State Highway Patrol responded to 655 crashes in Ohio.
