Delivery of necessary parts for a substation rehabilitation project in Bryan has been pushed back, but won’t affect project completion. The parts are four 72.5 kilovolt circuit breakers from GE Grid Solutions. The breakers are part of a plan to upgrade the city’s entire sub-transmission electric service system to 69 kV capacity. The parts are needed for the final step in the plan by upgrading the power plant substation. The power plant supervisor, told the Bryan Board of Public Affairs the parts were ordered in April with a timeline for delivery in the middle of September or October. The board unanimously approved extending the timeline. Separately, the BPA approved a change order for refurbishing the South High Pressure Filter Rehabilitation.
