Although it may be several years down the road, planning for significant changes to U.S. 24 in Defiance County is well underway. County engineers shared the latest on plans to build a new overpass on U.S. 24 at Independence Road during this week’s county commissioners’ meeting. Sounds good…but it is on hold until some federal funds can be added to the budget…that comes in 2027.
