PAULDING COMMISSIONER APPOINTED TO POSITION BY GOVERNOR

Pauld­ing County Com­mis­sioner Fred Pieper was appointed by the Gov­er­nor last week to the Ohio Advi­sory Coun­cil for the Aging.

The board includes 12 mem­bers who are appointed along with four other indi­vid­u­als from leg­is­la­ture and state depart­ments of men­tal health, devel­op­men­tal dis­abil­i­ties, health and job and fam­ily ser­vice.

Respon­si­bilites include review­ing issues, plans, pro­grams and their bud­gets that impact older res­i­dents and advo­cat­ing for seniors. The coun­cil meets six times a year. Pieper’s first meet­ing will be May 28.
