Paulding Police Investigating Arson At Skate Park

The Pauld­ing Police Depart­ment is inves­ti­gat­ing an arson at the vil­lage skate park. On Mon­day, they say some­one placed a mat­tress on the mid­dle skate ramp and set it on fire. The Pauld­ing Fire Depart­ment rushed to put the blaze out. The park was imme­di­ately closed and must now remain closed while cleanup efforts are under­way. When the ramp was orig­i­nally built 10 years ago it cost $4,500. Vil­lage offi­cials said the cost of a new ramp will be much more. Esti­mates are now being sought. The inves­ti­ga­tion is ongo­ing, and any­one with any infor­ma­tion is asked to call police at 419–399-3311.
