PETITION FILED TO DENY MEDIA COVERAGE OF COURT HEARING

An attor­ney for a Put­nam County teen who has been charged with the deaths of two Ottawa broth­ers has filed a motion to exclude media from cov­er­ing the court hear­ing.

The court-appointed attor­ney for 17 year old Michael Fay filed a motion in Put­nam County Juve­nile Court to exclude media from cov­er­ing a July 2 hear­ing which is set to deter­mine if Fay will be tried as an adult.

A hear­ing on that motion has been sched­uled for Thurs­day at 1:30 p.m..

Fay faces two counts of aggra­vated mur­der and a sin­gle count of grand theft of a motor vehi­cle. He is alleged to have caused the deaths of 17 year old Blake and 14 year old Blaine Romes last month.

Fay is cur­rently being held at the Wood County Juve­nile Deten­tion Cen­ter in Bowl­ing Green.
