Pleasant Lake Man Pleads Guilty To Child Molestation

A Pleas­ant Lake man pleaded guilty to a felony charge of child molest­ing on Mon­day in Steuben Supe­rior Court. It was in con­nec­tion to an inci­dent that pros­e­cu­tors said hap­pened in the fall of 2007. 24-year-old Todd Hart was arrested in June. Under terms of the plea agree­ment, the orig­i­nal charge will now be dis­missed, and Hart will serve serve an eight year sen­tence in prison on the Class C felony con­vic­tion. He was sched­uled to go to trial on Octo­ber 1st on the orig­i­nal charge that was filed against him fol­low­ing an inves­ti­ga­tion that started last Novem­ber when detec­tives inter­viewed the alleged female vic­tim, who was six-years-old at the time of the alleged crime.
