Power Outage Caused By Equipment Failure

A big power out­age on Mon­day affected about 7,000 First Energy cus­tomers in Williams and Ful­ton coun­ties, and now we know what caused it.

Accord­ing to the util­ity, the out­age was caused by a fail­ure at the Stryker sub­sta­tion. Repairs have been made, and all affected cus­tomers are now with power. No word on exactly what that fail­ure was though.
