Like many players of the Powerball, when you hear the news that no one drew the right numbers, it can discourage players from checking their tickets. That would be a big mistake. And according to Continental resident Michael Hull, that’s what he did. He put the ticket in his glove box, and didn’t check it for two days. When he did, at the Holgate Party Mart wwhere he bought the ticket, he got a pleasant surprise. He’d won. And not just a few bucks, as he hoped. He won $50,000. Hull says it still doesn’t feel real. He says he’ll use the winnings to buy a house.
