Project Funding Sought

The city of Bryan will apply its entire approximately $863,822 in American Rescue Plan Act funding to help offset the cost of the new dewatering project at the city wastewater treatment plant. The dewatering process separates wastewater solids from liquid, which reduces the volume of residuals, improves operation and reduces costs for subsequent storage, processing, transfer, end use or disposal. The construction project will only take from 30 to 45 days, but waiting for the equipment to come in will take much longer, officials say.
