Randy T. Belcher, 64

Randy T. Belcher, 64, of Blakeslee passed away Friday evening at home. He was born on April 10, 1952 in Wytheville, Virginia to Walter and Rebecca Lucille (Stroup) Belcher. On September 8, 1990 he married Carmen M. Bailey and she survives.

Randy was the owner / operator of the Progressive Satellite Company for over fifteen years. Prior to that he worked as a sales manager at Heritage Cable Company in Bryan. Randy was the co-founder of the “50/50 Band” (classic rock / country) and guitar player for “Nuthin Fancy”, he was also lead vocals for both bands. He had a love for music.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carmen; four children, Randell (Amina) Belcher of Detroit, Barry Belcher of Bryan, Jeremy Belcher and Brad Belcher both of Blakeslee; four grandchildren, Qamar, Sumiyya and Siraad Belcher all of Detroit and Jonathan “John-John” Belcher of Blakeslee; two sisters, Drema (Kenny) Wilson of Montpelier and Juanita (Harvey) Waleitti of Grundy, Virginia; and his nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

A time to receive friends will be on Thursday, June 2nd from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Memorial contributions may be given to CHP Hospice or Williams County Cancer Assistance.
