A robbery suspect was apprehended this week with help from EMS personnel responding to an unrelated incident. Defiance police had been looking for an armed robbery suspect since the holiday weekend, and the suspect turned up on Tuesday during a medical call by the Williams County EMS when they responded to a 911 call from the Indian Meadows Service Plaza north of West Unity and found a male subject with a medical emergency. Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Swanton Post responded as back up and recognized the patient as 35 year old John Hall of Wauseon. The Defiance City Police Department issued a warrant for Hall’s arrest. Authorities allege that he used a firearm to hold up the Circle K gas station on N. Clinton St., on Sunday and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
