SCHOOL BOARD TOURS SCHOOL

Before The Cen­tral Local Board of Edu­ca­tion met Mon­day after­noon, board mem­bers toured the school facil­i­ties.

Part of the high school tour included look­ing at build­ing entrancees, safety pro­ce­dures and items that need to be fixed on the build­ing.

They also met with the high school stu­dent coun­cil and had lunch, before hav­ing the senior class sit in dur­ing the reg­u­lar meet­ing ses­sion.

The Bryan Times reports that at their reg­u­lar meet­ing, The Board inves­ti­gated sev­eral projects and grants, includ­ing House Bill 264, which they say will redo light­ing in the gym, class­rooms and hall­ways to con­serve waste.

The School Board is also said to be look­ing at safety grants through the Ohio School Facil­i­ties Com­mis­sion to improve school secu­rity measures.
