OHIO CHILD SUPPORT DELINQUENCIES RISE

A new report says that in Ohio, nearly eight in 10 par­ents who pay child sup­port owe a past-due bal­ance, and col­lec­tions have dropped by nearly $127 mil­lion since the 2008 fed­eral fis­cal year.

North­west Ohio’s child sup­port enforce­ment agen­cies how­ever, say they can report col­lec­tion rates bet­ter than the statewide aver­age.

The econ­omy and under­em­ploy­ment is a big con­tribut­ing fac­tor to the statewide problem..
