Semi Crashes Near AT

A big rig driver is badly hurt in a rollover crash in Amboy Township. Officials tell reporters Mark Vliek, of Edwardsburg, Mich., is eastbound on U.S. 20, near milepost 24…when he swerves to avoid downed power lines across the roadway. The tractor trailer, hauling lumber, careens off the right shoulder…overturning onto its top. Vliek is trapped inside the wreckage. First responders cut him out of the crumpled cab. He’s in serious condition at this hour at a Toledo hospital. An investigation into the accident is on at this hour by both state and local officials.
