Semi Fire Squelched

Officials say a flat tire may have led to a trailer fire in Bryan, along U.S. 6 at County Road 16. When responders get to the scene, flames could be seen from the rear of the big rig. The driver disconnects the burning trailer from the truck. That’s when crews get there. After the fire is out…officials come to the conclusion it was caused by a flat tire on the trailer. The friction from the wheel sparked the blaze. No one was hurt. Damage is minor. Transportation officials are investigating.
